Overview
Albright and Hinderstein stress the need for Iran to answer questions about its alleged undeclared uranium enrichment activities, uranium conversion work, and research programs involving heavy water. The International Atomic Energy Agency has criticized Iran for its failure to fill its safeguards obligations under the Nuclear Proliferation Treaty. Consequently, Iran rejected the notion concerning its nuclear weapons program and the request to implement the additional protocol without a quid pro quo.
