Overview
Catherine Dunne is a Dublin-based writer whose work has been widely acclaimed both in Ireland and internationally. Her literary career represents a significant contribution to contemporary Irish literature, and it is marked by a sustained engagement with themes of identity, female subjectivity, domesticity, and familial and interpersonal relationships. Her narrative strategies often rest on the exploration of silence, secrecy, and emotional resilience, positioning her work within a feminist literary tradition that seeks to revalue domestic space and affective work. This interview comprises part of our public conversation during the XXIII AEDEI Conference and private email correspondence with the writer in the past few months.
