Overview

Additionally, the spatial transcriptomic information can be integrated with other modalities such as transposase-accessible chromatin sequencing (Assay for Transposase-Accessible Chromatin using sequencing: [...]the addition of yet another dimension—time—will be a subsequent cornerstone, currently in sight.5 Technically, in order to preserve the architecture of the tissue to be sequenced, RNA needs to be isolated while preserving its spatial information in the tissue. Another considerable limitation is the high cost compared to conventional RNA sequencing methods.
