RésuméLe culte d’Ifa à Cuba est une exception à la féminisation du clergé des religions afro-américaines. Il s’agit en effet d’un culte dont les officiants (les babalaos) sont exclusivement des hommes hétérosexuels. Cette exclusion est bien connue depuis les travaux de Lydia Cabrera, mais sa justification mythologique l’est moins : c’est ce point qui est examiné ici. Il apparaît que cette justification est étroitement liée à l’opposition entre sang menstruel et sang sacrificiel. L’exclusion des hommes homosexuels s’explique quant à elle par leur identification à des femmes, et donc par le fait qu’ils peuvent brouiller les principes de filiation et de germanité spirituelles qui organisent le corps des babalaos. Néanmoins, l’exclusion des femmes et des hommes homosexuels de l’office de babalao est contrebalancée par l’obligation qui leur est faite d’interroger Ifa pour tous ceux qui le souhaitent.
