睡眠医学经历30余年发展,已经逐步发展壮大为一门独立的新兴交叉学科[1]。尽管现代睡眠医学发轫于对睡眠呼吸暂停综合征(SAHS)的认识、诊断与治疗,但睡眠本身属于神经科学范畴,针对睡眠本质的探讨和研究是神经科学的重要课题之一。睡眠医学作为一门新兴交叉学科,与神经病学关系极为密切,许多神经系统疾病均可以出现不同类型睡眠障碍,而睡眠障碍也可能是诸多神经系统疾病早期甚至主要表现之一。
