机构知识库是一个机构将其成员在学习、工作过程中产生的各种学术成果进行整合而成的数字资源整合。民族地区高校作为民族地区高层次人才培养基地,建设机构知识库意义重大。以内蒙古工业大学为例,论述了民族地区高校建设机构知识库的必要性,分析了内蒙古工业大学机构知识库建设存在问题,调查和总结了用户需求,提出内蒙古工业大学机构知识库建设应以用户需求为导向,以服务为核心,并设计出IMUT-IR应具有的3个层面服务功能模块。
