هدفت الدراسة إلى تسليط الضوء على علاقة القيم بالإعلام من خلال ما أسميناه \"النظرية الحتمية القيمية\" في الإعلام، وهي جهدٌ معرفي تنظيري حضاري، يهدف إلى تأسيس وتطوير حقل فكري إعلامي مستقل عن السائد في برامج التكوين الإعلامي \"الكلاسيكية\"، ويتعلق بما يمكن تسميته بـ\"علم القيم في الإعلام\"؛ إذ تركز الحتمية القيمية على جعل القيمة الانشغالَ الأساس في الإعلام والاتصال. وتركز الدراسة على أن الحتمية القيمية تدفع إلى مزيد من المسؤولية الأخلاقية في اتخاذ القرارات الإعلامية في الميادين الاجتماعية والثقافية والفنية والإنسانية.
