Overview
Creation and application of the quality standards in educational system is one of the key factors to achieve the desired goals for the visions of this country. It is an important step towards an effective and efficient educational system. In recent years, great efforts have been made and many questions have been created about the quality of the educational system which is far from the quality assurance standards. The aim of this study is to elucidate the position of standardization and to improve the quality of educational system in Iran. In this regard, the authors study the causes of standardization and survey the objectives as well as the results of their applications in different aspects of educational system in Iran. In this paper, educational standards are regarded as systems that control the quality of activities and services provided by the educational system. Also, they consider that educational standards should be in accordance with international criteria as well as the domestic and traditional issues in order to make a change.
