يبحث هذا الكتاب، الذي هو الجزء الثاني من سلسلة الإضافة القرآنية النوعية، الإضافات المتميزة لـلقرآن الكريم على مواضيع وقصص ونصوص سفر الخروج التوراتي، فـالقرآن هنا قد استرجع الأبعاد الرسالية والقيم الإنسانية والأدوار التاريخية المرتكزة على التوحيد، التي أدّاها موسى في تاريخ الأديان عموماً، وتاريخ بني إسرائيل على الأخص. ففي نحو أكثر من 200 «إضافة نوعية»، تتتابع الأحداث المعالَجَةُ قرآنياً بدءاً من الوحي إلى موسى بحمل رسالة التوحيد إلى فرعون، مروراً بالآيات الكثيرة التي عرضها موسى وهارون على فرعون وجنوده، وصولاً إلى الغرق الفرعوني والنجاة الإسرائيلية، انتهاء بملاقاة موسى للرب في جبل الميقات، ثم ضلال الشعب ونكوصه عند صعود موسى إلى جبل الميقات، وعبادتهم العجل الذهبي الذي صار لعنة بني إسرائيل الملازمة وسبب غضب الله الدائم.
