Overview
Evans examines the experiences of several democratic governments with terrorism, including Israel and Palestinians, Sri Lanka and Tamil Tigers, and Venezuela and the Venezuelan Communist Party. Four issues are given focus: the maintenance of government legitimacy, the legal questions involved in fighting terrorism, the relationship between military and police forces, and the issues of international cooperation.
