The authors have examined the definitions of critical thinking of scholars who have made themselves famous for their critical thinking frameworks. Not to deny the bounty of benefits that comes with critical thinking, but history tells us again and again that not all people want to hear the truth or want others to hear it. While it doesn't refer to critical thinking per se, it implicitly encourages it.
