Overview
In a state of low gravitational entropy, an eyelash can rest undisturbed on a crisp white pillow for months, perhaps years. Without a moon, we no longer mark time by night and day. Lights automatically change colour to tell us when to sleep or work or attend ceremonies. By my impossible calculations, we sleep for only a few hours, but are awake for weeks. My gaze returns to the eyelash; I should brush it away. I know this.
