Overview
In this chapter we intend to investigate the potential role of citizenship education as a conveyor of human rights through critically examining the policy documents prescribing the values of the education systems of Greece and Turkey. We dare the assumption that citizenship education can be considered as a value package for the school system, usually including human rights, but sometimes rather conflicting with human rights perspectives.
