Taking an Advantage of the Model of an Integrated Building Personal (TOKKATSU) and its Application in Japanese Education in Music Education Activities

This study explores the Japanese educational model TOKKATSU-the \"integrated building of personal character\"-and its application within music education activities, emphasizing its role as a holistic pedagogical approach for developing children's intellectual, emotional, moral, and social capacities. The research describes TOKKATSU as a comprehensive system that aims to internalize moral values and social responsibility through structured group activities that go beyond academic instruction. These include class social work, cleaning duties, collective discussions, music performances, and community-based projects, all designed to foster empathy, cooperation, and self-discipline. The author notes that the Japanese classroom is viewed as a miniature society where children learn to live harmoniously, assume leadership, and develop confidence through communication and participation rather than competition.
