Overview
There are many goals and interests for Israel in the African continent, which make it follows specific programs and policies to be able to achieve them and hence to be able to create the Zionist entity it always aspire for in the Middle East. Israel followed these specific programs to enact cooperation with African leaders to present itself as a regional active power and to support its presence in the Middle East and Africa. Therefore, in this study we will try to clarify several points regarding the Israeli policies in Africa. We will outline the fundamentals of Israeli foreign policy and clarify the means and the programs which it depends on to achieve its goals, and we will mention the determinants of the Israeli foreign policy towards Sub-Sahara Africa. Israel had used diplomatic factors through making communication with African political parties and movements and also made many visits to the African countries specially the Nile River basin countries. Israel had also resorted to the economic factor through providing the African countries with support, technical, scientific and financial aids and helping them in their economic projects. It also had used intelligence, religious and soft power factors to strengthen its actual presence in Africa. As well as there is the economic side as Africa had suffered a lot from weak and bad economy in the time of colonization, so Israel exploited that by helping in improving the African economies to be like their friend that wants to developing their situation and to be their ally all the time. Also there are social factors which is presented in the issue of creating a home for Jews that is known as the promised land so Israel had create their nation Israel and now seeks to collect the Jews from the world, as Africa has a lot of Jewish communities so Israel sought to exploit these communities to support its existence.
