Overview
يشتمل البحث على عبادة الثالوث المقدس والتي انتشرت في الإسكندرية حيث استخدمت كنوع من أنواع الدعاية السياسية للأسرة الحاكمة في ذلك الوقت وهي الأسرة البطلمية، فقد لعبت الديانة في حياة المصريين قديماً دوراً بارزاً ومؤثراً حيث كانت جزءاً مقدساً لا يمكن المساس بها. عندما تولى البطالمة حكم مصر اهتموا بالسلوك الديني للمصريين واليونانيين تزعم فيها الجانب المصري الكاهن والمؤرخ مانيتون والجانب اليوناني الكاهن تيموثيوس. فكانت لهذه اللجنة هدف سياسي أساسي وهو إيجاد آلهة تجد القبول والموافقة من كلا الطرفين المصري واليوناني.
