Overview
على اعتبار أن الحق في تقرير مصير الشعوب الواقعة تحت سيطرة الاستعمار أو الاحتلال من المبادئ المسلم بها في المواثيق الدولية وخصوصا ميثاق الأمم المتحدة، فإن مقاربة إمكانية استخدام القوة بالنسبة لهذه الشعوب للمطالبة بهذا الحق أصبحت تفرض نفسها بموجب أحكام القانون، وعليه هناك تلازم بين ركيزتين أساسيتين هما: ضرورة تصفية الاستعمار والحق في تقرير المصير، ومن ثم لا يمكن تصور استخدام القوة خارج هذه المقاربة، بل على المجموعة الدولية تقديم كل المساعدات التي من شأنها تحقيق هذين الركيزتين دون المساس باستقرار السلم و الأمن الدوليين.
