The Attitudes of Jordanian Citizens Toward Syrian Refugees

Overview
The present study investigated the positive and negative attitudes of both Jordanian citizens and Syrian refugees toward the Syrian refugee crisis in Jordan. To achieve this aim, an interview schedule was conducted among the participants (n = 96) .The results of the study indicated that there were 33 positive attitudes of Syrian refugees toward the Jordanian citizens reflecting the positive images they had toward Jordanian citizens, compared to 6 negative attitudes reflecting negative images toward Jordanians. The results also showed that there were 14 positive attitudes of Jordanian citizens towards Syrian refugees reflecting positive images towards Syrian refugees, compared to 6 negative attitudes reflecting negative images toward Syrian refugees.
