تناول البحث دراسة فهرس مكتبة خاصة وتحقيقه، يعد من نوادر الفهارس الخاصة في نجد، وهو فهرس مكتبة الشيخ عبدالعزيز بن عبدالرحمن الخاصة، ولا تخفى أهمية دراسة الفهارس الخاصة لما تحويه من معلومات مهمة عن الحراك العلمي والثقافي في منطقة توافرها بما تثبته من أسماء المؤلفين والناسخين والواقفين وطلبة العلم وغيرهم، وهي معلومات تفيد الباحثين والمهتمين في هذا المجال، وقد درس الباحث هذا الفهرس وحققه، وحاول التحقق من ناسخه ومحرره، مثبتاً في الحواشي معلومات الكتب المذكورة، مستعرضاً أهمية بعضها في تاريخ منطقة نجد العلمي.
