لا نتصور معركة الإصلاح السياسي في العالم العربي مسألة محورية وذات شأن فقط، بل ليست هينة كذلك، في قائمة منذ قرنين من الزمن \"الإصلاحية الأولى\". وإذا كان مفكرو المشروع الإصلاحي والنهضوي يختبرون اليوم الجيل الثالث من مفاهيم الإصلاح السياسي، فإن أنظمة الاستبداد وخطابات الاستبداد لاتزال بدورها تعاند وتمانع حسب تعبير كمال عبد اللطيف، متحصنة في الوقت نفسه بلغة عتيقة وممارسات قمعية، تكشف ضرورة مواصلة الجهد النقدي في النظر والعمل، قصد تفكيكها والانخراط في الحاضر الكوني.
