أستهدف هذا البحث دراسة الجديد في التزامات الناقل البحري وفقا لأحكام قواعد روتردام دراسة مقارنة مع الاتفاقيات الدولية والقانونين المصري والكويتي. وأتضح من خلال الدراسة السابقة، إن تطبيق قواعد روتردام سيؤدي إلى إعادة التوازن النسبي بين المصالح المتعارضة لأطراف عقد النقل البحري، كما سيؤدي إلى زيادة الحماية الممنوحة للشاحنين والمرسل إليهم، وحث الناقلين على بذل المزيد من العناية والحرض في سبيل تنفيذ عقد النقل والوفاء بالالتزامات الملقاة على عاتقهم.
