يرى بعض المتخصصين أن صلة الأسلوب بالتحليل تتضح بصفة عامة من جانبين الأول: \"من حيث إن الأسلوب - قواعد وتوجيهات - ينير الطريق أمام الأديب لينسج على منوالها عمله الأدبي، ولكل فن أو جنس من الأدب أسلوبه العام الذي يخرج فيه، هذا بالإضافة إلى الخصائص الأسلوبية لكل أديب أو مفكر؛ لأن الإطار الأسلوبي العام لفن ما من فنون الأدب معناه أن تستوي جميع أساليب الأدباء فيه، فإن لكل أديب متمكن أو مفكر صادق سمات أسلوبية خاصة به. والآخر ما يتبينه المحلل الأسلوبي من خلال دراسته لنتاج الأدباء من جهة مدى التزام الأديب بقواعد الفن الأدبي الذي أخرجه.
