Overview
لم يختلف مفهوم محو الأمية في الإسلام عن الوقت الحاضر فكلاهما حمل نفس مبادئ هو العمل على تعليم الفرد القراءة ولكتابة ثم الأخذ بالاتساع تبعا لظروف غير أن الفرق بينهما أن مهمة الإسلام لمحو الأمية كانت أصعب فهي ثورة ضد الجهل والتخلف، أما عن محو الأمية في العراق فكانت مرتبطة بالأحداث السياسية في العراق رغم أنه كان له دور كبير في مكافحتها والقضاء عليها.
