يُعنى هذا البحث بالكلام عن جهود علم فذٍ من نقاد الحديثو جهابذته، هو الحافظ ابن كثير-رحمه الله-في نقده مرويات السيرة النبوية، من خلال كتابه \"السيرة النبوية\" المنتقى من كتابه \"البداية والنهاية\"، حاولنا فيه، إبراز جهوده في نقد الأسانيد، والمتون، كما حاولنا الوقوف على أهم قواعد المحدثين التي استعملها في نقده، والوقوف على ما أغفله من نقد المرويات، والكلام عن أسباب ذلك.
