Overview
هذه الدراسة عن القنصلية الهولندية في مدينة جدة منذ نشأتها عام 1289 ه/1872م حتى عام 1326ه/1908م، وهي فترة الحكم العثماني للحجاز. الحرمين الشريفين، ومحط أنظار الدول الأوروبية التي كانت تطمح خلال تلك الفترة لتأسيس أقليات في هذه المدينة، ومنها مملكة هولندا، حيث حرصت على إنشاء قنصلية لحماية مصالح مواطنيها من المسلمين من جزر الهند الشرقية (إندونيسيا)، كما أنها دراسة جديدة لم يسبق التطرق إليها، حيث تم الاعتماد فيها على عدد من وثائق الأرشيف الهولندي غير المنشورة.
