Overview

The mood is one of the important factors on which behavioral methods are based. Some studies have pointed to the role of public mood knowledge in detecting and correcting its behavior. There are many factors that play an influential role in building and managing the mood for the public. The most important of which is the satellite TV channels. The importance of this research is that it is considered the first in the study of the mood of the Iraqi public and for a segment that is most important as representing the elite and opinion leaders, as a result of their exposure to the subjects The aim of the research is to identify the impact of the exposure of the Iraqi elite to the negative news broadcast by the satellite TV channels on their general mood. This research is a study of the correlative research and uses the method In the analytical field, the boundaries of the spatial area of this research were confined to the city of Baghdad. The research community included an elite audience of (23) years old and older who were exposed to satellite television channels during the period from (1-1-2018 to 1-10-2018) , has reached The sample(400) was randomly distributed on almost all demographic variables. The researcher used the Brunel scale to measure the general mood after making some modifications. The researcher investigated the validity of his instruments in the two ways of honesty and virtual honesty. The form is based on a number of experts. The second method is to verify the validity of the construction through the testing of two extremist groups. This is done by finding the coefficient of discrimination for the experimental vocabulary.
