Overview
عدت المحرق عاصمة البحرين في الفترة (١٨١٠م - ١٩٢٣ م). مما منحها قوة سياسية واقتصادية. بدأت أهميتها تبرز منذ القرن التاسع عشر، لاختيار الشيخ عيسى بن علي آل خليفة كعاصمة للبلاد. يسعى هذا البحث إلى دراسة وتحليل الأوضاع الاجتماعية لمدينة المحرق فترة (١٨١٠ -١٩٢٣م)، ، نظرا لأهميتها السياسية والاقتصادية والاجتماعية والثقافية في هذه الفترة، ويعرف البحث بمدينة المحرق وعناصر السكان وطبقات المجتمع والعادات والتقاليد والاحتفالات، ويختتم البحث بمناقشة الأوضاع المرأة في المحرق في تلك الفترة.
