يتناول هذا البحث مادة «الشيعة» كما وردت في دائرة المعارف الإسلامية، وقمت من خلاله بعرض أبرز الآراء والمعتقدات التي تناولها كاتب المادة المستشرق «شتروثمان» ثم أحلل هذا الرأي والمعتقد باختصار، وأخيراً أقوم بالتعليق تحته بنقد مختصر. وختمت البحث بنقد عام ومجمل للمادة العلمية التي كتبها بعمومها، وذكرت أبرز النتائج التي توصلت إليها من مادة هذا البحث وأبرز التوصيات التي رأيت الاهتمام والعناية بها.
