Overview
لقد أدى دخول الإسلام إلى الصحراء -عامة- وإلى مناطق السودان الغربي - خاصة- واعتناقه من قبل سكان تلك الربوع إلى تغيير جذري في جميع مجالات حياتهم الثقافية والاجتماعية والاقتصادية والسياسية، برزت مظاهر تلك التأثيرات بشكل كبير في الجانب التعليمي، والذي أبدى من خلاله سكان بلاد السودان اهتماما كبيرا بالعلم والمعرفة، ما أدى إلى تنشيط حركة طلبة العلم والعلماء، والذين حرصوا على الاتصال بمنابع العلم الأولى في أرجاء العالم الإسلامي.
