Overview
يتناول البحث موضوع مهم وحساس وهو قضية إسلام عم النبي هو العباس بن عبد المطلب حيث اختلفت المصادر القديمة والحديثة في شخصيته وفي تاريخ إسلامه، فالبعض يرى انه أسلم في بداية الدعوة الإسلامية البعض الآخر يعتقد انه أسلم بعد معركة بدر تعرض البحث إلى معنى الإيمان ومعنى الكفر، وتطرق أيضاً إلى عقيدة آباء العباس بن عبد المطلب لكونها النشأة الفكرية لعقيدته. وعرض البحث الدلائل التي تؤكد إيمانه العميق برسالة النبي محمد (صلى الله عليه وأله وسلم)) من خلال ثباته في معركة حنين مع أفراد قليلين من بني هاشم وهو ينادي المنهزمين بالعودة لقتال المشركين.
