Menelaah Konsep Living Hadis dan Kaitannya Dengan Iḥyā' Al-Sunnah

Overview

Living Hadis is a new terminology for the community in Brunei Darussalam, which initially brought into view on March 13-15, 2005 during a seminar organised by UIN Sunan Kalijaga title \"Living the Qur'an as a Social-Cultural Phenomenon\". Discussions on Living Hadis were greatly debated among the academicians after the seminar especially in UIN Sunan Kalijaga. Certainly, it has impacted on the scientific literatures that highlighted the concept of Living Hadis. It implies to a sign of worships in the society which in line with the pattern of behavior derived from the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). Whereby their interpretations of the religious practice are taken solely from the local's view. Due to this, an in-depth study on this concept in Brunei Darussalam is vital to be examined to understand their definition on Living Hadis. Moreover, this concept is similar to the preeminent term \"Iḥyā' al-Sunnah\". This paper used literature review methodology by focusing on Living Hadis. Various literatures found in defining the term Living Hadis as it has gained interest in several distinguished journals in Indonesia. Apart from that, researchers will also assess the concept's conformity with the term \"Iḥyā' al-Sunnah\" as this terminology has been adopted during the time of the companions and the followers. Most importantly, these findings hoped to provide enlightenment on the need to understand the religious text especially the hadith in the form of textual and also contextual. Finally, the identified texts can be revived in an \"authentic\" manner especially hadith related to the creed of Muslims.
