يعد قطاع السياحة من أهم القطاعات لما يقدمه من عوائد مالية معتبرة لكثير من الدول والتي يمكن أن يوفرها في الأمدين المتوسط والبعيد، ومن فرص لخلق الثروة وقدرته على امتصاص البطالة وتحريك عجلة الاقتصاد. يمثل الاستثمار في السياحة الصحراوية أداة جديدة لتنمية السياحية في المناطق الصحراوية تنمية مستدامة متكاملة وذلك من خلال البرامج والمخططات للتهيئة السياحية، حيث يساهم بشكل كبير في تطوير القطاع السياحي وترويج للجزائر كوجهة سياحية مستقبلية واعدة.
