Overview
This article deals with the possibilities of using German YouTube children's songs in translation classes in order to teach Arabic German language students important translational theories and models. The following questions arise: Can the students recognize the linguistic peculiarities of the German children's songs? How can the various linguistic features be translated by the students, taking into account the translation assignment, so that textual factors go hand in hand with the audiovisual medium? Which translation skills are trained through children's song translation? Can audiovisual media serve as an understanding and decision aid in translation? The article has come to the conclusion that the use of children's songs through an audiovisual medium in translation classes has proven to be positive. The audiovisual medium serves as an aid to understanding, and to decision-making.
