نظرا للأهمية البالغة للإدارة الإلكترونية أصبح استخدامها يعد ضرورة حتمية في جميع دول العالم، إذ لم يبق استخدامها حكرا على الدول الغربية فقط، بل اتسع أيضا ليصل إلى بعض الدول العربية، التي لم تكن بمعزل عن التطورات التي شهدها العالم في مجال تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات. ومن خلال هذه الورقة البحثية تطرقنا إلى ماهية الإدارة الإلكترونية من خلال التطرق إلى تعريف هذا المصطلح، ثم دوافع التحول نحو الإدارة الإلكترونية، بعدها مزايا هذا التحول، بعدها عرض تجارب عربية رائدة في مجال استخدامات الإدارة الإلكترونية.
