Overview
تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى إبراز أهمية السفارات والرسائل البيزنطية في العصر العباسي الثاني (247- 565ه/ 847- 1258م) وأهمية التعرف على صفات السفراء وإمكانياتهم السياسية والثقافية وإبراز دورهم في تطوير العلاقات الدبلوماسية وتهدف هذه الدراسة إلى معرفة الجزور التاريخية للسفارات الإسلامية إلى دولة الروم، وإبراز أهمية دور السفراء ومكانتهم في الدولتين والتعرف على أنواع المكاتبات والمراسلات، وقد اتبعت الدراسة المنهج التاريخي والوصفي والتحليلي. وقد توصلت الدراسة إلى عدة نتائج أبرزها أن القرار الدبلوماسي ركيزة أساسية في سياسة الدول الخارجية وأن العمل الدبلوماسي عند المسلمين أتخذ طرق عديدة وأساليب مختلفة.
