تناولت الدراسة قاعدة أصولية وهي \"إضافة الحكم إلى أول سببه\" دراسة تأصيلية تطبيقية، فبينت معنى القاعدة إجمالا وتفصيلا، وأدلتها، وشروطها، وبعض تطبيقاتها الفقهية، وتوصلت إلى مجموعة من النتائج أهمها أن السبب إذا اكتمل بوجود شرطه أو زوال مانعه فإن الحكم يضاف إلى أول السبب، بشرط أن يكون السبب سببا مجازا ذو وصف واحد، واقتضت طبيعة الدراسة أن تكون في ثلاثة مباحث، مشتملا كـل مبحث على عدة مطالب: المبحث الأول: مفهوم قاعدة \"إضافة الحكم إلى أول سببه. والمبحث الثاني: أدلة القاعدة وشروطها وأثرها، والمبحث الثالث: التطبيقات الفقهية، وخاتمة ضمنتها أهم النتائج.
