Overview
يحاول هذا البحث الكشف عن مفهوم الزمان وإبراز مدلولاته الفلسفية، في فكر العصر الوسيط وخاصة في فكر القديس أوغسطين، فعلى الرغم من تكاثر النظريات والرؤى عن مفهوم الزمان إلا أن أوغسطين أعطاه بعدا جديدا تجاوز من خلاله المفهوم اليوناني وخاصة المفهوم الأفلاطوني. من حيث اعتباره الزمان امتدادا، امتداد لما أعرف، أي موجود في العقل، أما التصوف أتخذ أوغسطين طابعا جديدا يقوم على أساس عملي واقعي، كونه لم يتخل أو يرفض العالم ولا العمل والنشاط ونظرا لغنى أفكاره الفلسفية في هذا الموضوع والتي تتخطى حدود ما سأتناوله في هذه الدراسة إلا أنني سأحاول قدر الإمكان تكثيف الأفكار لإيضاح رأي أوغسطين في الزمان أولا، وأين أختلف عن المفهوم الأفلاطوني ثانيا، وطريقة تجليه الصوفي ثالثا.
