هدف هذا البحث إلى دراسة واقع المشاريع الصغيرة في سورية ما بين عامي 2001 و 2017، من خلال التطرق للجدل حول تعريف المشاريع الصغيرة واختلاف معايير تحديدها مقارنة بالبلدان الأخرى، كما يسلط الضوء على واقع هذه المشاريع في سورية على مدى ستة عشر عاما. علاوة على عرض أهم التحديات التي تواجه عمل هذه المشاريع، بالإضافة إلى تناول أبرز القوانين الناظمة للمشاريع الصغيرة. وأخيرا يقدم البحث عددا من التوصيات لتفعيل عمل هذا القطاع المهم.
