Overview
تنكر الغرب لمبدأ المساواة بين الحضارات، وممارسته أشكال العنف بحق الآخر، كان الدافع لنبش التراث الغربي من قبل تزفيتان تودوروف (1939 -2017 م). يرمي منها بلورة مقاربة جديدة لقضايا الإنسان المعاصر، من مساواة وتكافؤ الفرص بين الشعوب في المساهمة الحضارية. مؤكدا أن مفهوم صراع الحضارات ليس إلا نموذجا لتبرير التدخل في شؤون الآخرين، كما أن تنكر المساواة يفضي إلى عقلنة الرعب لدى الغرب، إضافة لهوس القوة الذي لا يفارق الإنسان الغربي إثر التقدم التكنولوجي، ومنه يرفض تودوروف أي تبرير لوصاية حضارة على أخرى. كما يدعو إلى نشر ثقافة الحوار والاعتراف بالآخر.
