يتناول هذا البحث نظرة الغزالي إلى الإنسان في علاقته مع العالم والله، والأسس الكلامية والصوفية والفلسفية لهذه النظرة، حيث يتعامل مع محاور ثلاث، أولا تصور الغزالي للعالم الطبيعي، وكيف تتكون الروابط والعلاقات السببية، وثانيا الإلهيات في نظرية الغزالي وتصوره الكوزمولوجي للوجود، وثالثا نظرة الغزالي لطبيعة الإنسان الروحية وإمكانيات تطوره المعرفية في سياق نظرية الغزالي الصوفية في المعرفة وعلاقته الإنسان ببناء مصيره.
