Overview
احتفلت مكانة المرأة عبر التاريخ، وكانت متفاوتة وأحيانا متناقضة، فقد تأرجحت من اعتبارها امرأة غير فاعلة إلى عدها السيدة والحاكمة في مصير المجتمع، وهذا ما تناوله البحث من خلال إظهار دورها في مجال الحياة السياسية والاجتماعية والدينية، فوصلت إلى حكم الإمبراطورية الرومانية، محاولة تحقيق الأمن والاستقرار فيها كالإمبراطورة جوليا دومنا والملكة زنوبيا، وشاركت المرأة السورية في معظم الشعائر الدينية للإمبراطورية سواء كمتعبدة أو كاهنة، أما اجتماعيا فقد أدت دورا كبيرا في أسرتها وتولت مهمة تربية أطفالها و تعليمهم، بالإضافة إلى قيامها بأعمالها المنزلية، و بذلك استطاعت المرأة السورية تخليد اسمها من خلال مساهمتها في بناء حضارة تشهد على أعمالها عبر العصور.
