Overview
تعد الحاجة إلى التوسع في زراعة المحاصيل الاستراتيجية من (القمح، الذرة الصفراء، الشعير) من ضروريات حياة الإنسان الحالية والمستقبلية وذلك لارتباط تلك المحاصيل بغذاء وإطعام الملاين منهم وعلى خلاف مناطق الكرة الأرضية، وهذا التوسع يأتي باتباع مجموعة من الطرق كالتوسع العمودي والأفقي في الإنتاج وهو من أفضل الطرق للموازنة الصحيحة بين كمية الإنتاج والإنتاجية، وبما تمتلكه المحافظة من مساحات كبيرة من الأراضي غير مستغلة زراعيا لحد الأن منها ما هو قريب من مجرى النهر ومنها ما هو بعيد عنه متمثلا بالأراضي الصحراوية.
