Overview
يحتل المعجم مكانة سامية عند جميع الأمم التي تحافظ على لغتها وتراثها، فهو ديوان اللغة، الذي يسهم في الحفاظ عليها، وهو الملجأ الذي يهرع إليه الدارس والمدرس، والعالم والمتعلم، إذا أشكل عليه معنى مما يقرؤه، أو يسمعه من ألفاظ اللغة، ولا يخف على أحد أن تراثنا العربي يزخر بالعديد من المعاجم التي يسعى أصحابها لتقييد اللغة العربية حفاظا عليها من الاندثار، ويعد معجم العين للخليل بن أحمد الفراهيدي أول تلك المعاجم، وقد صنعه صاحبه وفق منهجية فريدة، ميزته عن غيره من المؤلفين، لذلك سعت هذه الدراسة إلى التعريف بهذا المعجم، وعرض الطريقة المتبعة في تأليفه، وأهم المبادئ التي تقوم عليها.
