Overview
يبقى نجاح أو فشل أية عملية تخص التنمية مرتبطا بما تحققه تلك العملية من مستويات بشأن الرفاهية والاستقرار اللتين يعيشهما الإنسان واللتان يمكن قياسهما من خلال مؤشرات عديدة مثل (متوسط دخل الفرد والتعليم والصحة) ويمكن القول هنا إن العراق بما تعكسه تلك المؤشرات يصنف في ضمن البلدان ذات التنمية البشرية المتوسطة وبحسب ما مثبت في هذا البحث الذي يكشف عن مدى تعثر عملية التنمية في العراق وعوامل تأخرها. وعليه فإن البحث يسلط الضوء على مدى الفرص المتاحة أمام الاقتصاد العراقي لتعديل المسار مقابل التحديات التي لا زالت تعرقل استثمار هذه الفرص. وعلى هذا الأساس تضمنت الدراسة ثلاثة مباحث هي: 1- الاختلال الهيكلي 2- مؤشرات القطاعات الاقتصادية 3- وسائل إصلاح الاقتصاد العراقي
