Overview
The topic deals with the depiction of acrobatics players on a group of vases. The interest in the activity of women in all civilizations was of special importance. A group of pottery vases caught my attention repeatedly depicting women playing acrobatics, which prompted the researcher to study this topic, to follow this phenomenon. For the sports activity of women, and to clarify this activity for women and the extent of its social depth, which made the Greek artist interested in recording it clearly on pots. There are previous studies that shed light on the acrobatics in ancient Greece, its origins, the beginning of its emergence and its development, but none of the studies clearly addressed the role of women in this field, which drew the artist's attention and pushed him to portray her. The researcher classified the forms of the depicted movements and traced their development between back and front somersaults and parallel movements on devices such as the pottery wheel device and low seats. It was also exposed to venues for shows such as those games, whether in sports celebrations, symposiums, or flýax (φλύαξ),The study came to benefit from the situation of the woman who worked as an acrobat player.
