1- يتجلى العمل الخيري في الإسلام في رعايته للفرد والأسرة والمجتمع، ويسعى إلى تحسين الظروف الحياتية في المحن والأزمات مما يؤدي إلى إيجاد مجتمع متماسك متكافل، يشعر بالمسؤولية ويسهم في إعمار الأرض، وتحقيق التوازن في المصالح والعلاقات مع المحافظة على ثوابت الدين الحنيف. 2- قد دعت الحاجة إلى إيجاد منظمات وهيئات ومؤسسات إنسانية إغاثية في الوقت المعاصر، لما تعانيه الشعوب اليوم من فقر وعوز شديدين، إضافة للحالات الطارئة من الحروب والحوادث، والكوارث الطبيعية التي عصفت بالعباد والبلاد مما تسبب بأضرار جسيمة في الأموال والأنفس والممتلكات.\"
