هدف البحث إلى التعرف على العلاقة بين الخوف من السقوط وقوة القبضة لكبار السن في ظل جائحة كورونا المستجد. عرض البحث إطارًا مفاهيميًا تضمن مفهوم (الخوف من السقوط، اختبار قوة قبضة اليد، كبار السن)، واعتمد على المنهج الأسلوب المسحي، وبلغ حجم العينة (266) ذكر وأنثى من كبار السن من عمر (65-75) عام من مدينة المنصورة بواقع (108) ذكر و(118) أنثى، وطبق عليهم المقياس الدولي لتقييم الخوف من السقوط لكبار السن، ومقياس قوة القبضة لليدين، وخلص البحث إلى مجموعة من النتائج ومن أهمها وجود علاقة ارتباطية سلبية قوية بين الخوف من السقوط وقوة القبضة للذكور والإناث على حد سواء، واختتم البحث بمجموعة من التوصيات من أهمها عمل برامج إرشادية لهذه الفئة من كبار السن للحد من الخوف من السقوط ممن تظهر استجابتهم على مقياس الخوف من السقوط درجات مرتفعة. كُتب هذا المستخلص من قِبل المنظومة 2022
