إن الذي يدفعنا إلى الحديث عن السياسي هو هاته الخاصية المرنة التي بات يتمتع بها، فالسياسي استطاع أن ينتقل من شكله الأفقي القائم على الهيمنة وفرض الأمر الواقع إلى شكل آخر يقوم على الفاعلية الجماهيرية. فالسياسي موجود وهو يستثمر في كل مرحلة فيما هو شائع فيها؛ فمن الوحدة الدينية إلى وحدة السوق ورأس المال، وهو يعود اليوم من جديد ليستثمر في الظاهرة الدينية سواء بالسلب أو الإيجاب.
