تبحث هذه الدراسة في دور المرأة المصرية في خدمة الحديث الشريف، وإبراز دورها السابق في هذا الميدان، لنستفيد من ذلك في تصحيح مفاهيمنا الحالية، ولبعث الروح في المرأة المعاصرة لتعود إلى السنة النبوية متعلمة، ومستنيرة ومنورة. وقد انتظمت الدراسة في مقدمة وثلاثة مباحث: تناول المبحث الأول الحالة الاجتماعية والسياسية والعلمية في القرن الثامن الهجري حيث كان له الأثر الواضح في تفجير الطاقات العلمية والفكرية، في حين خصص المبحث الثاني في ذكر المحدثات في مصر بوجه عام في ذلك القرن، وخصص المبحث الثالث في ذكر كبار محدثات مصر وجهودهن في خدمة الحديث الشريف.
