تناول هذا البحث الكفاية التواصلية، بدأ بالتعريف بها لغة واصطلاحا، بعد ذلك حاول الوقوف على الآراء والأقوال في طبيعة هذا المفهوم التواصلي، فلسفيا وتداوليا، ثم تناول آراء وأقوال التداوليين، وكيفية توظيفهم هذا المفهوم العقلي. يتبع ذلك تطبيق للقصدية التواصلية على بعض خطب ابن نباتة، وأخيرا حاول البحث تسجيل أهم النتائج التي توصل إليها.
